The Faculty of Medicine within the “Victor Babeş” University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara (UMFVBT) represents a regional and national landmark in the training of professionals in the field of health and medical research.
The Faculty of Medicine has a majority weight of students and teaching staff within the UMFVBT, ensuring both the training of students and the improvement of graduates and specialists in medicine through undergraduate, master’s and doctorate study programs, as well as their affirmation in the national and European circuit, in accordance with the regulations specific to qualifications in the medical field and the increasingly dynamic requirements of the labor market.
Today, the Faculty of Medicine within the UMFVBT is in charge of training 4931 students, in the study programs of Medicine, Medicine (in English), Medicine (in French), General Medical Nursing, General Medical Nursing (at Lugoj), General Medical Nursing (Deva), Balneophysiokinetotherapy and rehabilitation, Nutrition and dietetics.
The students of the faculty are motivated for continuous professional improvement throughout their entire life, they are trained and attracted to improve themselves in all fields of medical knowledge, in research activities since the student period, as well as to apply the professional skills acquired during their training, both for stimulation of medical and scientific performances.
