General presentation

Dermatological pathology is one of the most common pathologies encountered in the current practice of the health specialist. It is estimated that every person develops a skin disease at least once in their life, and the presentation of patients with dermatological complaints to the general practitioner or specialist is increasing

Our discipline aims to facilitate a better understanding of skin conditions that are extremely common in all specialties. We want our students and future colleagues to be familiar with the diagnosis and management of dermatological disorders. Our course materials and practice labs are designed to enhance your knowledge, which is essential to your future clinical practice.

Our discipline is part of the Dermatology and Venereology Clinic in Timişoara that serves a large patient population, being the only bed ward in the city. Being a University Clinic, the addressability includes not only the city of Timişoara but the entire county, sometimes even the western area, most of the complicated and difficult to manage cases being addressed to our Clinic.

Our mission is to train and promote innovation and excellence in research, clinical and paraclinical attitude. We support personal growth, career development, collaboration with our students as well as with those enrolled in various forms of postgraduate studies (residency, postgraduate course, doctorate, postdoctoral research).

Scientific and research activities, as well as extracurricular activities with students and residents, represent a continuous activity and of constant interest for our discipline.

The lecture room has 50 seats and is located on the fourth floor of the clinic, next to a locker room and two toilets.

For continuous diagnostic support for current practice, as well as the development of practical skills in teaching, the Dermatology Clinic is equipped with high-performance equipment at our Clinical Center for the morphological study of the skin in which we use:

  1. Kernel UV radiation treatment system KN40001 series UVA- 350~400nm, UVB 311~312 nm
Procedure: the treatment of extended cutaneous lesion through phototherapy
