Radiology and medical imaging, general and dento-maxillary imaging

The discipline of Radiology and General and Dento-Maxillary Medical Imaging within the Faculty of Dentistry has a dento-maxillary radiology laboratory equipped with high-performance digital equipment:

• Rőntgen dental retroalveolar device Heliodent DS
• Cone Beam Computer Tomograph, type PLANMECA ProMax 3D Mid

which allows the development of appropriate teaching activities as well as specific imaging evaluation. The dento-maxillary examinations performed can be externalized on cellulose, digital or sent by e-mail, allowing students, residents and doctoral students to assimilate and deepen their knowledge of Radiology and Dento-Maxillary Imaging to the highest European standards.

Within the discipline of Radiology and Dento-maxillary Imaging, there is an intense and diversified didactic activity addressed to the students of the Faculty of Dentistry, Romanian and English sections, as well as to the students of the College of Dental Assistance of the same university.

The members of the discipline of Radiology and General and Dento-Maxillary Medical Imaging perform constructive interdisciplinary collaborations with preclinical and clinical disciplines, being integrated in research teams in various medical fields (anatomy, neurology, neurosurgery, thoracic surgery, oncology, hematology, oral rehabilitation, OMF surgery, etc.) activity materialized in the elaboration of numerous articles and studies published in specialized magazines and in the volumes of some national and international congresses.
