Department XVI of the Victor Babes University of Medicine and Pharmacy from Timisoara was founded in 2011. It includes the following disciplines: Medical rehabilitation, Physical Medicine and Balneology, Family medicine, Physical education, Modern Languages and Romanian language. There are 35 members of the teaching staff within the Department.
The Disciplines Medical rehabilitation, Physical Medicine and Balneology provide courses for the General Medicine specialty (6th year of study, Romanian, English, French sections), Dental Medicine (5th year of study, Romanian, English, French sections), Physiotherapy programme (1st, 2nd, 3rd year of studies). Family medicine provides courses for the General Medicine speciality (6th year of study, Romanian, English, French sections), as well as for Registered nurses (3rd year of study, Timisoara, Lugoj and Deva). The Disciplines Physical education, Modern Languages and Romanian language provide courses for the 1st and the 2nd year of study for all specialties of the Faculties of Medicine, Dental Medicine and Pharmacy.
