Methodological and Research Center for Infectious Diseases (CMCBI) based in the Ist Clinic of Infectious Diseases, 13A Gheorghe Adam Street, Timișoara, composed of 9 associate members, teachers from the Ist and IInd disciplines of Infectious Diseases, Department XIII of UMF Timisoara and two external collaborators, aims to develop academic scientific papers, published in national and international journals in the field of infectious pathology.
At the level of the Research Center, all students enrolled in PhD studies, who are doing research in infectious diseases pathology in order to graduate from their doctoral theses are guided and supported.
In 2021 we will go through the stages of the research project with the following theme: “Early diagnosis of bacterial and fungal superinfections in patients with COVID-19 using molecular biology panels” (PCR multiplex) approved by the Doctoral School of UMF Timisoara. The results of the research are to be included in a scientific article that will be published in an international journal with a medical scientific profile.
Currently, two scientific articles have been sent for publication addressing topics in the pathology of SARS-CoV-2 infection in ISI journals with Impact Factor.
