The Research Center in Orthodontics was established in 2020 within the Orthodontic Discipline within the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Victor Babes Timisoara, Romania. Within the center, the full members (teachers of the Orthodontics Discipline), the associated members (doctoral students and residents), as well as internal collaborators (teachers from other disciplines) carry out their activity.
Here we study the maxillary dento anomalies in children and adolescents and develop new directions of digital diagnosis and orthodontic therapy, using the most modern trends in the field.

- Audax soft for cephalometric analysis
- compact pressure moulding unit Ministar from Scheu
- Laptop, multifunctional printer, Nikon photo camera
- Dental units, light curing dental lamps, instruments.
Research directions:
- Research on the biomechanical behavior of dento-alveolar structures during orthodontic and surgical / orthodontic treatment.
- Cephalometric research on dental and skeletal malocclusions
- Planning interdisciplinary treatment in skeletal abnormalities with orthodontic and orthognathic approach.
- Digital diagnosis, virtual treatment planning, 3D printing in orthodontics.
- Sleep apnea- cephalometric investigations and clinical orthodontic approach
- Interdisciplinary orthodontics.
- Orthodontic implants
